Cavernous Malformations

I have a condition called cavernous malformations in my brain stem: snarled masses of poorly formed veins that can occasionally hemorrhage. In late June of this year I had a brain bleed, which caused tingling and loss of dexterity in my hands. This series, in which I’m visualizing these malformations, was my way of trying to rehabilitate my hands. While I worked on this imaginary cross section slideshow of the inside of my brain, I was able to draw an emotional landscape of my experience.
